site.btaBurgas Hosts 2025 World Kudo Cup


The 2025 World Kudo Cup will take place on July 5 and 6 at Arena Burgas, with 300 fighters from 25 countries on five continents to compete at the event, the organizing committee said during a press conference on Thursday.
The press conference was attended amongst others by World Kudo Federation President Hideki Takahashi, Vice President Kenichi Osada, Bulgarian Kudo Federation Chair Gospodin Babanov and Burgas Deputy Mayor Manol Todorov.
They pointed out that Bulgaria is hosting a kudo competition of such rank for the first time, and the seaside city was preferred because of the excellent conditions for organizing and holding the tournament.
The official opening is scheduled for Saturday, July 5, at 10:30 a.m. On Sunday, the semifinals and finals in all categories will take place, and the awarding of the champions is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. The competition will be held with free admission for the audience.
The organizers announced that Burgas will host the European Kudo Championship as well, which will take place in October 2025.
